ICE ICE BABY, wrap but don´t snap

I haven’t seen anybody on the roof of their boat in this weather till now, so this was a photo opportunity not to be missed.

Dave risked life and limb to take the Christmas lights down, I told him not to bother, just leave them. But he came up with a cunning plan which involved simply unwinding them from the front mushroom, and pulling them in from the back, BRILLIANT!
Till they got stuck…

Not to be deterred, Plan A had to be scrapped (as per norm), But hey they’re only lights, I mean it’s not like there was a hole in the roof…

Weird ice sculpture? Flattened reeds behind the boat…

To be fair they were half flattened by a swan a while ago who appeared to be carrying out a surveillance check on our boat for about a month. Then disappeared, I guess he must’ve got bored or something…
