It's not pretty, in fact it's pretty awful

It’s with great reluctance that work has been resumed, after almost a week of ignoring the “To Do” list we’re back on the case (no choice after yesterday’s news). So today’s post is a bit too serious for my liking, I guess that’s because nothing’s gone wrong yet I’m in shock. Can you believe that? Since when has everything gone right round here? It must be a fluke, well anyway this is interesting and informative if nothing else.
After using several different very smelly products last week in a failed attempt to rescue resurrect the water damaged panel. We’ve given up and it’s been ripped out to be replaced with a brand new one…

No, this isn't it, and there's going to be another layer of insulation packed in there too...

The RHS panel next to the doors at the front had to be pulled away as well so everything will butt up together nicely when the new panel is in…

The offending article that could not be resurrected…

New panel, old panel, what a difference, obviously the new one needs staining to match the rest…

The fiddly job today: Sheep’s wool insulation was packed in next to the usual foam insulation & covered in a layer of bubble wrap behind where the panel will be. We’re taking no chances even though the original problem’s been sorted…!

Dave’s now working on matching the stain on the new panel, more photos tomorrow. Maybe by then I’ll be able to join in and get some painting done – I’ve got a stunning design idea to try out…
