May I present the new bedroom

It’s been over a week now since her majesty popped round to cut the ribbon. But what with us getting out and about, it’s taken priority on the blog over the past few days. Meantime, behind the scenes these two busy bees here have been hard at work.

So at long last and due to popular demand, here we go with the guided tour,, the job itself was worth every swear word.
Walking towards the boudoir…

Looking left, excuse the vipers nest of wires in the corner – still to be sorted, why the hell did I leave that heater there…?

Looking towards the front doors…

012
Panning round to the right…

014
The bed, it’s in the middle somewhere…

011
My side – no trespassing…

020
Nothing to hide, this corner is now a temporary resting place for bit’s ‘n pieces waiting to be relocated…

022

The three door wardrobe…

***Design idea: Stairs at the front transformed…

026

***Design idea: A quarter of the TT star on the side of each wall…

017
And last but not least, the carpet.

***Design idea: As a rule, for a house use a contrasting shade or two darker than the ceiling, but not too dark. On a boat the same theory stands but because of all the wood, it needs to be more of a contrasting colour too. First we were thinking dark chocolate and decided on light, but they both taste good…

Not one to blow my (our) own trumpets (oh well go on then), we created it together, it’s unique, it’s impressive, and after all the hard graft it’s just perfect…
