A bowed head, confused swans, and a lazy sod

Dave was a bit bored yesterday, so he came up with the exciting idea of spending today inside the bow locker.
Inside the bow locker…

These two just didn’t get it…

And this is the “lazy sod” was supposed to be doing loads of jobs on “The Fred” today. But sat about on the roof instead like an ugly wart…

He was spouting all manner of daft comments at Dave, who also sent all manner of daft comments back. In fact it was even mentioned that I should close the bow locker lid, and bolt it shut while he’s in there, as requested by The Mop Dave…

So meanwhile what was Dave really doing? Well it had to be boat work so here it is:
He’s decided to paint the inside of the bow locker, first on the list is a protective coat of primer…

And under the bow locker door too…

Several coats of “proper paint” still to be applied yet. But he’s had to drop his paintbrush for now, because we found out today the engineer is coming to fit the new alternator tomorrow.

Not to worry, I’ll let you know when Dave picks up his paintbrush again – bet you’re sat on the edge of your bow locker seat in anticipation. Uh Oh, he’s just finished and it’s started raining which isn’t ideal when you want to leave the lid up for drying purposes…

Appropriate quotes that come to mind right now:
  • It’s like watching paint dry…
  • It never rains but it pours…
Tomorrow it’s all about alternators, so by then you’ll be watching dried paint till you fall off your bow locker with boredom. Hang on, this post started off with boredom and bow lockers didn’t it?

I must be going round in circles again…
