Glad to get out again

Even if it was just for an afternoon, and a little bit on the windy side, and looking like it was going rain for a while, we didn’t care. Determination is a wonderful thing.

So yesterday we took my cousin John, and his girlfriend Angela, out for a little tootle down the Rufford. They actually live somewhere at the opposite end of the Leeds Liverpool canal, you know, beyond the road works canal closure.

In fact if the empty canal hadn’t been turned into a rubbish tip in places, the Leeds Liverpool Bypass Canal ROAD would still be open and they could indeed have driven home in the canal…

Anyway, first things first, this is how the clouds looked when we set off, better than first thing in the morning…

Then this happened, checkout that blue sky and those happy faces :-) It was still blowing a gale but never mind, can’t have everything I suppose…

I told John about the cheesy grin thing that suddenly happens when anyone drives TT for the first time…

And may I present Dave’s own “first time” practice drive (titter), hence no Captain hat then…

So continuing with yesterday’s journey we spotted this…

But we couldn’t decide if it was a peregrine falcon or a buzzard, and neither will you either. Because when using the wrong lens, even a fancy cam can rival a crap one.

Everything’s still really green here…

And it’s blue when you look up - occasionally…

Collateral damage to the TV Ariel. That’s the second time them there trees behind Rufford Old Hall have tried to nab it and failed…

What a great day – even had chance to sit out on the towpath in our “fav spot” for a glass of wine and relax. Hmm, nice…
